WHAT:     Opening of the 41st New York Film Festival sponsored by
          Grand Marnier. Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in
          association with Village Roadshow Pictures and NPV
          Entertainment, a Malpaso production, "Mystic River."
          The film is directed by CLINT EASTWOOD. The film stars SEAN
          PENN, TIM ROBBINS, KEVIN BACON, LAURENCE FISHBURNE, MARCIA
          GAY HARDEN and LAURA LINNEY, with the screenplay by
          BRIAN HELGELAND based on the novel by DENNIS LEHANE.

          Based on the bestselling novel by Dennis Lehane,
          "Mystic River" tells the evocative story of three childhood
          friends, played by SEAN PENN, TIM ROBBINS and KEVIN BACON,
          whose relationship ends in the wake of a tragic incident.
          Twenty-five years later, the three are inexorably linked by
          a murder investigation.
