Press Briefing Highlights Wacker's 50 Years of Automotive

Innovations, Future of Silicones In the Automotive Industry The automotive industry is the industry involved in the design, development, manufacture, marketing, and sale of motor vehicles. In 2006, more than 69 million motor vehicles, including cars and commercial vehicles were produced worldwide.  


WHAT:   The Wacker Automotive Press Briefing will highlight Wacker's
        current automotive technology innovations, which helps OEMs to
        reduce engine noise, enhance safety features and make the car
        more attractive to consumers.

        At the Press Briefing, WACKER and GM will preview newly
        applied technology in advance of Global Powertrain Congress
        2003, held Sept. 23 to 25, also at the Ann Arbor Crowne Plaza.

WHO:

   --   Executives from each of Wacker's critical automotive product
        lines will present brief overviews of key solutions for the
        automotive industry, as well as market overviews and future
        trends and enhancements.

    --  Featured Speaker: Wacker CEO Dirk Funke, who will discuss the
        impact of silicones in the automobile

    --  Keynote Address: Chevrolet Special Vehicles Manager Hershel
        Hicks, who will offer his insight on automotive color design.
