DETAILS: In celebration of the long-awaited "The Lord of the Rings:
         Fellowship of the Ring" DVD release, Virgin Megastores are
         pleased to announce a special offer and a national
         enter-to-win sweepstakes. While many movie fans will have to
         wait until August 6 to purchase their copy of "The Lord of
         the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring," Virgin moviegoers can
         pre-purchase their copy of the DVD starting July 24. The
         first 5,000 customers who pre-purchase a copy of the fantasy
         epic film will receive a Virgin-exclusive, limited-edition
         lithograph as their free-gift-with-purchase. Also, all
         customers who pre-purchase the movie will receive a
         Virgin-exclusive "The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the
         Ring" collectable gift card and customized holder. Starting
         on August 6 the first ten people at select (see note) Virgin
         Megastores will be able to purchase "The Lord of the Rings:
         Fellowship of the Ring" DVD or VHS for just $10. Free "Lord
         of the Rings" T-shirts will also be distributed to the next
         40 people in line, in each of the selected cities.

         Movie fans in select cities can be one of the first to own
         the "The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring" DVD or
         VHS, as Virgin Megastore/Sunset, Virgin Megastore/Union
         Square, Virgin Megastore/Times Square, Virgin
         Megastore/Boston and Virgin Megastore/Orlando will start
         selling the "The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring"
         DVD at midnight on August 6.

         Starting August 6, Virgin customers can also enter-to-win the
         national Virgin "The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the
         Ring" sweepstakes by logging on to www.virginmega.com or by
         entering their name in a ballot-box at one of the select (see
         note) Virgin Megastores. One lucky winner will receive "The
         One Ring," a limited-edition 24-karat gold ring that is an
         exact replica of the ring in the movie. The latest and
