Feature Editors/Assignment Desks

ADVISORY...for Thursday Thursday: see week.  (April 24)

--(BUSINESS WIRE)

What: Nearly 600 kids, ages 7 - 14, from the St. Louis and
St. Charles areas are expected to participate in MasterCard's
annual "Bring Our Kids to Work Day." What makes MasterCard's
program so unique is that it is one of the largest in the area,
and will link -- by videoconference -- with other MasterCard
offices in New York, Detroit and Miami. While the national
program will include boys for the first time this year,
MasterCard has been inviting sons, nephews and grandsons of
       its employees since 1998.

Employees at MasterCard's Global Technology & Operations
Center, headquartered in O'Fallon, Missouri, make up one
of the most diverse work forces in the country.

When: Thursday, April 24, 2003
       9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Where: MasterCard International
       2200 MasterCard Boulevard
       O'Fallon, Missouri 63366
(40W to WingHaven Blvd exit, R on MasterCard Blvd)

Highlights from the day include:

-- Video teleconference orientation with kids participating from
MasterCard's Purchase, New York; Detroit, Michigan; Miami,
Florida and St. Louis, Missouri, offices

-- "World Tour" - Representatives from different countries will
talk about the different aspects of their culture,
        demonstrating dances, food, and clothing

-- Build a PC - Kids will learn to build a PC and then do some
        'chatting'

-- "Securing Our Future" - Kids create posters on different types
of security issues. Posters will be used as part of future
        training efforts for MasterCard.
