WHAT: The CDMA Development Group (CDG) (www.cdg.org) today
announced that the University of California San Diego
(UCSD) is currently accepting applications for the
association's annual scholarships for the UCSD Extension
CDMA Engineering Certificate Program. The scholarships,
in the amount of $1,000 each, are designed for students
new to the wireless industry who are looking to enhance
their careers by learning about CDMA technologies. This
year's scholarship recipients will be announced during
the opening session of the 2002 CDMA Americas Congress,
on Dec. 3, 2002, at the San Diego Convention Center in
San Diego.
WHO: The CDMA Development Group is a nonprofit trade
association formed to foster the worldwide development,
implementation and use of cdmaOne(TM) and CDMA2000. The
110 member companies of the CDG include many of the
world's largest wireless operators and equipment
manufacturers. The primary activities of the CDG
include development of CDMA features and services,
public relations, education and seminars, regulatory
affairs and international support. Currently, there are
more than 500 individuals working within various CDG
subcommittees on CDMA-related matters. For more
