About Hamilton Family Center

Founded in 1985, the Hamilton Family Center is a non-profit organization that strives to end homelessness for families in San Francisco by providing a safe, stable, temporary home environment that promotes the dignity of each family and fosters self-sufficiency. Each night, Hamilton accommodates over 250 people (60 percent of whom are children) through three residential programs in the City. A fourth program, Hamilton's Housing and Aftercare, helps homeless families in San Francisco find affordable housing and for one full year, offers them resources, advice and support to break the cycle of poverty. This summer, Hamilton Family Center will open its fifth program, a permanent supportive housing facility for 75 families and people living with disabilities. The Dudley Apartments will offer supportive social services on-site.
