WHAT: UU Housing Assistance Corp. (UUHAC) is hosting its 5th
Annual Housing and Wellness Fair. The intent of the Housing
and Wellness Fair is to make residents of San Antonio aware of
the home repair and first time homebuyers programs, which are
provided by UUHAC and available to residents of San Antonio.
UUHAC will announce a $720,000 loan fund granted by the city
of San Antonio Department of Housing and Community
Development, which will be made available for owner occupied
rehabilitation and repairs in District 2.
WHO: UUHAC, and many exhibitors and community representatives
including: VIP's: District 1 City Councilman Roger Flores Jr.,
District 2 City Councilman Joel Williams, County Commissioner
Tommy Adkinson, President of San Antonio College Dr. Ziegler;
PMI Mortgage Insurance Co., Fannie Mae, Home Depot, Washington
Mutual, Broadway Bank, Frost National Bank, Alamo Area Council
of Governments, San Antonio College Women's Center, Five
Points Neighborhood Association, Beacon Hill Neighborhood
Association, Alta Vista Neighborhood Association, Easter Seal
Rehabilitation Center, San Antonio Police Department, San
Antonio Fire Department, and many others.

WHERE: San Antonio College parking lot, adjacent to UUHAC office,
2015 North Main, San Antonio
UUHAC has been working with low-income owners in the Alta Vista
and Beacon Hill area neighborhoods to repair their homes.
Beginning in 2001 UUHAC extended its programs into the Five Points
area and into District 1. Currently, UUHAC is contracting builders
for a new construction project known as Vista Points, which will
be six row houses located at the corner of S. Flores and
Fredericksburg Road. UUHAC is also continuing its Homebuyer
Education Classes and Counseling. UUHAC has expanded into District
2 and will continue to provide Home Repair for Districts 1 & 2,
and is chartered to operate anywhere in Bexar County.
