An expected crowd of 12,000 will join together this Sunday, October 18, at Golden Gate Park's Sharon Meadow meadow

 Breast Care Center, will participate in a "doctor is in session" at the race where she will be available to answer general questions about breast care from women at the event. The UCSF Breast Care Center has a team of over 500 participants who will run in this year's race.

"The Race honors those women in our community who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and those who have died," Esserman said. "It is a show of commitment to find better ways to treat, diagnose diagnose /di·ag·nose/ (di´ag-nos) to identify or recognize a disease.
