The U.S. Chamber of Commerce The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest not-for-profit federation of businesses, representing more than 3 million businesses and organizations in the United States. As of 2003, the chamber was comprised of 3000 state and local chambers and 830 business associations. Institute for Legal Reform will release the findings of its second ranking of state liability systems at a press conference on Wednesday, April 9 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Chamber headquarters in Washington. The survey, conducted by Harris Interactive Harris Interactive (NASDAQ: HPOL) is an American market research company that specializes in public opinion research using both telephone and surveys on online panels. The company is the product of a 1996 merger between the Gordon S. Black Company and Louis Harris & Associates. (R) and comprised of companies with annual revenues of at least $100 million, will gauge the progress of all 50 states in improving their legal climate. Results of the survey will provide insight into perceived deficiencies of state courts and suggest broader implications for the business community and economy as a whole.
