WHO & WHAT:
14 South Networks, a new intranet security company spun out of IBM,
today announced that two of its executives will be speaking at ComSEC
2003, the Cyber Security Internet Conference. Chet Heath, Chief
Technologist and Founder, and Dr. Richard Ford, Chief Architect,
Security, will be presenting at the show. Both will be speaking on the
topic of Intranet Security. Mr. Heath's presentation is titled "The
Inside Job" and is at 9:00 a.m. Dr. Ford's presentation is titled,
"The Unknown: Why What You Don't Know Can Ruin Your Day" and is at
1:00 p.m.

BACKGROUND:
Based in Boca Raton, Florida, and spun out of IBM, 14 South Networks
is a new intranet security startup focused on corporate network server
security. The Company manufactures and markets hardware and software
for intranet security. 14 South Networks is credited with developing
the first standard-based embedded security platform which operates
autonomously within any industry-standard PCI-based server - enabling
servers, for the first time, to be individually secured or locked from
malicious targeted attacks that bypass corporate firewall protection.
The Company received its initial funding from Crossbow Ventures,
Cenetec Ventures, LLC, HIG Capital, IBM, and Mellon Ventures.
