--(BUSINESS WIRE)

                    Upcoming Event

WHO: British music authorities including: record label
moguls, emerging and established British artists, and
international music journalists will be on hand to discuss
the promotion of British music in today's diverse and
highly competitive American marketplace. Tim Burgess from
            The Charlatans and Manchester's hip-hop chart-topper Mark
Rae will be doing live DJ and performance sets at the
            Virgin Megastore, Union Square.

WHEN: Wednesday, October 23, from 3 p.m.-5 p.m.

WHERE: Virgin Megastore/Union Square
            52 East 14th Street
            New York City

WHAT: While U.S. artists continue to populate the British
top-twenty charts, UK artists currently have little
penetration in the U.S. music market. That's why Chamber
Business Enterprises, a UK government agency, is teaming
with the British Phonographic Industry and top British
music authorities to shed light on the situation with
press meetings and live performances by top-charting U.K.
            artists.

BACKGROUND: As part of a ten day trip to the U.S., top British label
moguls from Grand Central Records, Faith & Hope Records,
Invicta HI-FI Records, Paper Recordings, Fluid Recordings
and Air Dog Recordings are hoping to help escalate the
success of emerging UK artists here in the U.S. Both the
artists and British authorities will be on hand to give
their industry views on the current situation. After a
press meet-and-greet, the media and Virgin Megastore
customers will be entertained with a live performance by
Mark Rae, who is currently touring to promote his debut
album Rae Road, and DJ spinning by Tim Burgess.

PRESS RSVP: Press will also have the opportunity to conduct one-on-one
interviews with British music authorities and UK artists.
Media wishing to attend the event must RSVP by Wednesday,
October 23, at 2 p.m.(EST). To line up an interview or to
