WHAT: July is ice cream month, and to kick off this "holiday,"
Tillamook will be handing out FREE Tillamook(R) ice cream
cones to everyone who comes by. Three flavors will be
available: Brown Cow (white and dark chocolate ice cream
with chocolate flakes), Oregon Strawberry and Vanilla Bean.

11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. (or until ice cream runs out)

WHO: The Tillamook County Creamery Association has remained a
cooperative for 94 years, owned and operated by 145 dairy
families. Tillamook's renowned varieties of cheese, ice
cream and other dairy products have made them a Northwest
favorite.

FACTS: Ronald Reagan designated July ice cream month in 1984.
More ice cream is consumed in July than in any other month
(and on Sundays more than any other day of the week).
Vanilla is the nation's favorite flavor (50% of all ice
cream consumed is Vanilla), followed by Chocolate and
Butter Pecan.
