WHO: Jonathan Winters
Jonathan Winters has shaped the face of improvisational comedy
and has influenced such comedy superstars as Robin Williams.
The 1991 Emmy and two-time Grammy award-winner is also the
recipient of the 2000 Kennedy Center's Mark Twain Prize for
Humor. This year Winters was again nominated for an Emmy for
his guest-starring role on ABC-TV's "Life With Bonnie." SWING,
his upcoming film, will be released this winter. Other VIPs to
be announced.
WHAT: Winters will host a private preview of his original
paintings and drawings, revealing an entirely different side
of his remarkable talent. The collection will introduce new,
signed limited edition prints and mark his first gallery
showing in 30 years. All of the artwork will go on sale to the
public on Wednesday, October 22. The Andrew Weiss Gallery will
exhibit these original works until November 22.
