WHAT: All residents of eastern Massachusetts are encouraged to
leave a grocery bag of non-perishable food items by their
mailbox tomorrow to participate in the 12th annual Stamp Out
Hunger food drive. The food donations that are picked up by
The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Branch 34
will help to stock the shelves at shelters, pantries and
agencies that are part of The Greater Boston Food Bank's
network of hunger-relief organizations. Food such as canned
tuna or chicken, canned soup or vegetables, pasta, rice or
cereal are most desirable.
WHEN: Saturday, May 8th from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
MEDIA OPPORTUNITY: Representatives from the National Association
of Letter Carriers, Branch 34, will be available throughout
the day on Saturday to comment on the Stamp Out Hunger food
