The Grove, one of Los Angeles' favorite family destinations, invites families and visitors to attend its first birthday party on Sunday, March 30, in Town Square. Featuring a special Broadway performance by the cast of "Stomp," the one-year adj. 1. completing its life cycle within a year.

Students will be on hand to hear the winners announced in The Grove's birthday card art contest, where children from 12 local schools submitted their favorite drawing of the outdoor retail, dining and entertainment center. The winning artist will receive the "People's Choice Prize" -- a $5,000 check for his or her school. The winner in each grade level K-6 will receive grand prizes for their class, including either an iBook from Apple Computers, a shopping spree at The Gap, school supplies from American American, river, 30 mi (48 km) long, rising in N central Calif. in the Sierra Nevada and flowing SW into the Sacramento River at Sacramento.
