Business Editors

ADVISORY...for Wednesday (April 12, 2000)

--(BUSINESS WIRE)

Tonight, The Greater Boston Food Bank, will host a very special evening as the winners are selected for the TAKE A CHANCE drawing. Raising nearly $60,000 from supporters throughout eastern Massachusetts, the Take A Chance initiative is a fantastic partnership between the food and entertainment industry, committed Massachusetts citizens, and The Greater Boston Food Bank.

Special guest Kelley Tuthill, reporter for WCVB-TV Newscenter 5, will assist with drawing the names of the lucky winners.

                     Wednesday, April 12 at 6 p.m.
The White Star Tavern in Copley Square

Some of the fabulous prizes that were donated include a dinner for four at Biba, a $250 gift certificate at Upstairs at the Pudding, a one year membership to Le Pli Day Spa, a Tiffany Sterling Silver Atlas Watch, a foursome of Golf with Matt Siegel, host of Kiss 108's Matty in the Morning Show, and the grand prize of a five-day stay at the Sonesta Beach Resort in Bermuda.

Leading Boston chefs, including Tony Ambrose, Lydia Shire and Jasper White, endorsed and supported the program. Interviews can be arranged with Catherine D'Amato, CEO of the Food Bank, who can discuss the issue of hunger and the ways that an inventive promotion like this one can help feed hundreds of thousands of people.
