Educational Program Gives Talent Unlimited High School Students
Behind-the-Scenes Look at Music
WHO: A contingent of Talent Unlimited High School students and
Mammoth recording artists Squirrel Nut Zippers, who after a
two-year hiatus have returned with their fourth album,
"Bedlam Ballroom." Since the band's formation in 1995, the
Squirrel Nut Zippers have sold more than 3 million albums in
the United States alone. The Squirrel Nut Zippers will tour
the U.S. into 2001 to promote their recent release.
WHAT: Talent Unlimited High School students learn firsthand what
goes into a rock tour through the interactive GRAMMY Sessions
educational program. Artists will field questions from
students, addressing everything from careers in music to
issues affecting the recording industry. Past GRAMMY Sessions
have been hosted by artists such as Wynton Marsalis, Yo-Yo
Ma, Tony Bennett, James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Natalie Cole
and many others.
