WHY: The Gas Company and LA's BEST believe that an important way
to address street gangs, school dropouts and drug use is to
improve high quality education, enrichment and recreation
activities for children during the critical hours of 3-6
p.m., when many children don't have adequate adult
supervision. The Gas Company's donation of school supplies
to 1,072 LA's BEST students with the greatest needs and
fewest resources will help provide the basic tools all
children should be privileged to afford.
