WHAT: The Los Angeles Downtown Center Business Improvement
District (DCBID), in partnership with area social service
organizations and local businesses, will host its 3rd Annual
Community Outreach Fair to provide resources to the homeless
and economically disadvantaged individuals of Downtown Los
Angeles. In conjunction with the Fair, a Downtown Community
Clothes Drive will be held, inviting businesses and
professionals in the area to donate clothes and shoes.

The DCBID Community Outreach Fair will offer FREE health
screenings, job training information, employment counseling,
housing assistance, and social security services. Booths for
each participating social service organization will be set up
to enable counselors to speak with individuals one-on-one, and
a FREE meal will be presented to participants after each
        health screening.

As part of the successful BID A.C.T.I.O.N. program, DCBID's
Purple Patrol officers and safety and ambassador service
teams, along with area Missions, have publicized the event to
the homeless community. Last year, more than 300 individuals
attended the Fair to take advantage of the resources made
        available.

  WHEN: Thursday, September 18th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
FREE and Open To The Public

 WHERE: Pershing Square

WHO: The DCBID is a coalition of property owners united in their
commitment to enhance the quality of life in Downtown Los
Angeles. The organization helps the 65-block central business
district achieve its full potential as a great place to live,
work and play. Nearly 480 property owners provide funds to the
district via a special voluntary tax assessment, which
finances this outreach program. For more information, please
visit the DCBID Web site at www.downtownla.com.

Additional participants in the 3rd Annual Community Outreach
Fair include the Los Angeles County Department of Health
