      The San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women will be
hosting the 31st National Association of Commissions for Women (NACW)
Convention. Commissioners throughout the United States will gather to
listen to a variety of speakers and formulate a strategy to impact
women's policy nationally. The theme of the Convention is "Building a
National Agenda for: Our Economic Equity, Our Bodies, Our Lives."
Among the NACW's top policy priorities are the Convention to Eliminate
all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), Pay Equity and the
future of Social Security, a major issue of discussion in this year's
Presidential election.

The speakers include:
Senator Dianne Feinstein
Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey (Sonoma)
Marsha Johnson Evans, National Director of the Girls Scouts U.S.A.;
Aida Alvarez, Administrator of the Small Business Administration.
