ADVISORY/Teligent and Diablo Valley College to Launch Partnership Addressing Shortage of Technology Workers.

WHAT: Teligent (Nasdaq:TGNT), a global leader in broadband communications, will
announce a partnership program with Diablo Valley College to help address the
growing need for high-tech workers in the San Francisco Bay Area. The goal of
Teligent's Technology Scholars program is to help students learn more about the
burgeoning telecommunications industry and potential careers in it, as well as
to increase the number of well-educated high-technology workers. In addition to
the scholarships, selected students will have paid summer internships with
technology mentors at Teligent offices, and a portion of their internship time
will be spent with businesses housed in the new Contra Costa/Tri Valley
Telecommunication Incubator in San Ramon. As part of the partnership, Teligent
will also donate equipment and loan advisors to assist DVC in the development
of technology curricula. WHO: Hamid Akhavan, Teligent's Chief Technology
Officer, will present ten full-year scholarships to DVC President Mark
Edelstein. Local community and business leaders, DVC faculty and students plan
to attend. WHEN: Wednesday, November 15th 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Kickoff
Ceremony (DVC) 11:30 - 4:00 p.m. - Teligent Technology Day Program (DVC) -
Students hear from Teligent executives about broadband fixed wireless
technology, and careers in the industry. Includes a tour of the Teligent switch
