ADVISORY/Taxpayers for Fair Competition, Yes On Proposition 35.News/Assignment Editors ADVISORY...for Tuesday Tuesday: see week. (Oct. 10) --(BUSINESS WIRE)
WHAT: Providing early morning commuters with both short-term
(antacid tablets) and long-term (Proposition 35) remedies
for traffic gridlock, supporters of the measure -- on
the last day to register to vote -- will hand out voter
registration forms to the earliest Starbucks customers.
Those who are already registered to vote will receive an
absentee ballot application -- on what is also the first
day absentee ballots become available -- along with their
Alka-Seltzer tablets and information sheet on Prop. 35
headlined, "Fizz, fizz, plop, plop. Vote Yes on 35, so
projects won't stop!"
Proposition 35 simply gives state and local governments the
flexibility to use private engineers and architects to
complete overdue highway, rail transit and other projects
on time and on budget. Those with long, early morning
commutes stand to benefit the most from using public/private
partnerships to get much needed transportation projects
completed.
