Vinit Nijhawan to discuss consumer demands for wireless

applications and how the wireless industry can deliver on

demands. --

Vinit Nijhawan, President and CEO of Taral Networks, will participate in two panels of mobile industry executives and experts at the Global Mobile event in San Diego, California. The event will take place at the Marina Village on Thursday and Friday, September 25 and 26, 2003.

Nijhawan will participate in a panel of mobile industry visionaries entitled, "What Do Consumers Want in a Killer App An application that is exceptionally useful or exciting. When new operating systems are on the horizon, people wish for one or two killer apps that run under the new system in order to justify the migration effort and expense. Contrast with filler app.?" on Thursday, September 25. The panelists will discuss what consumers are asking for in mobile applications and "various ingredients for cooking-up killer mobile applications."

On Friday, September 26, Nijhawan will moderate a panel of mobile industry executives who will explore what it will take for the wireless industry to deliver on customer demands for wireless messaging in a session entitled, "Consumers Sending SOS for SMS and MMS."

Vinit Nijhawan Biography

Vinit Nijhawan brings over 20 years experience in technology start-ups to his role as President and CEO of Taral Networks.

Prior to Taral Networks, Vinit served as the founder, president, and chairman of the board of Kinetic Computer Corporation, a provider of wireless solutions for transportation and logistics fleets. Its flagship product, eTruck, is a wireless Internet ASP that provides fleet management services. Kinetic's wireless mobile computer product line was sold to Telxon and Kinetic's eTruck intellectual property was acquired by Qualcomm. Previously, Vinit was VP and CEO of Payload Systems, which merged with Space Industries.

Vinit holds a B.A.Sc in electrical engineering from the University of Waterloo.
