What: The 19th Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference is presenting a
session entitled "Novel Surgical Techniques for Invasive
Breast Cancer." During this session renowned breast surgeon,
researcher and author Susan Love, M.D. will discuss
cryosurgery and its role in the breast. Dr. Love will discuss
the theoretical and practical benefits and limitations, as
well as the current research into minimally-invasive,
cryoablation treatment for breast cancer. Additionally, she
will review research data from the only cleared ablation
therapy for minimally-invasive treatment of fibroadenoma
(benign breast tumors), the Sanarus Visica Treatment
System(TM). This device has been approved to destroy
fibroadenomas using cryoablation technology, or extreme cold,
through a tiny incision, without requiring sutures or general
        anesthesia.

Physicians at the conference will be able to participate in
hands-on workshops demonstrating Sanarus' Visica Treatment
System and Centrica(TM) Rotational Core Biopsy System.

Why: Surgeons want to provide patients with the less invasive,
tissue-conserving treatments for breast cancer. Through
advancements in research and technology, the standard of care
for breast cancer has progressed to breast conservation
therapy. Cryoablation treatment represents the next evolution
        toward minimally-invasive, breast-conserving techniques.

Who: Susan Love, M.D. is an Adjunct Professor of Surgery at UCLA
and the Medical Director of the Susan Love M.D. Breast Cancer
Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the
eradication of breast cancer. She is director of the National
Breast Cancer Coalition, and was appointed by President
Clinton to the National Cancer Advisory Board in 1998. She is
also the author of Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book and Dr. Susan
        Love's Hormone Book.
