Title: Project Britannic -- Unravel the Mystery

Subject: Wreck explorer, Andrew Georgitsis and special guest, Walter Jaccard will talk about diving the sister ship to the Titanic. They will present and reveal the great mystery surrounding the sinking of the Britannic. The age-old question has been whether a German U-Boat torpedoed this "gigantic" ship or did it strike a German mine during World War I. This talk will walk you through the ship's brief history and diving project conducted by Andrew Georgitsis in August of 1999. This never before seen footage and exploration will lead to discovering this ship's hidden secrets.

Following the presentation, an exclusive screening of "Island of the Sharks" a Seattle ImaxDome film. The evening concludes inside The Seattle Aquarium with coffee, dessert and conversations with Andrew Georgitsis and Walter Jaccard about the artifacts and the scuba equipment used to conduct the incredible project more than 400' beneath the surface of the Aegean Sea Aegean Sea, Gr. Aigaion Pelagos, Turkish Ege Denizi, arm of the Mediterranean Sea, c.400 mi (640 km) long and 200 mi (320 km) wide, off SE Europe between Greece and Turkey; Crete and Rhodes mark its southern limit. .

Title: Ghost Ships of Puget Sound

Subject: Board of Director members of Submerged Cultural Resources Exploration Team (SCRET), wreck divers and aquatic explorers, Andrew Georgitsis and Walter Jaccard, will present on four historic wrecks located in Puget Sound; Diamond Knot The diamond knot (or knife lanyard knot) is used as a decoration and joining knot in a cord with a loop such as a whistle lanyard. This knot is well known to Scout Leaders who have taken a woodbadge course as it is traditionally tied in the beaded thong given to acknowledge , AJ Fuller, Admiral Sampson, and S.S. Governor. Each wreck presentation will consist of a brief history of the wreck, pictures, and video of past and present, including some never before seen underwater footage.

Following the presentation, an exclusive screening of "Living Sea" a Seattle ImaxDome film. The evening concludes inside The Seattle Aquarium where Andrew and Walter discuss an exclusive display of underwater shipwreck artifacts.

Title: "They Fell from the Air" -- Galloping Gertie and Historical Planes of Lake Washington

Subject: Board of Director members of Submerged Cultural Resources Exploration Team (SCRET), wreck divers and aquatic explorers, Andrew Georgitsis and Walter Jaccard, will discuss the events surrounding the collapse of the Narrows Bridge

The Narrows Bridge is a bridge that connects the Mitchell Freeway and Kwinana Freeway in Perth, Western Australia.
 (known as Galloping Gertie). See rare footage of Gertie as it now lays 220' below the surface. The second part of the lecture will share stories and history of some of the known airplanes in Lake Washington. See underwater footage of the PBY-4, or a PV2, as they lay now on the bottom of the lake in great condition. The conversation will include: a history of Galloping Gertie; video of the collapse and dives conducted on the wreckage; a short history of Sand Point; known sites of aircraft and their history; history of the PBY- 4; video of the PBY- 4 in action and currently on the bottom; history of the PV2 Harpoon harpoon (härpn`), weapon used for spearing whales and large fish. The early type was a flat triangular piece of metal with barbed edges and a socket for attaching a wooden handle, to the ; video of the PV2 Harpoon in action and currently on the bottom.

Following the presentation in the ImaxDome Theater, an exclusive screening of "Whales" a Seattle ImaxDome film.

Then in The Seattle Aquarium, coffee and dessert with Andrew and Walter, discussions of the video, Scuba equipment, on display, as well as SCRET team techniques used to conduct the projects.

Tickets are $18.00 or $16.00 for Seattle Aquarium or SCRET Members.

All presentations begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Seattle ImaxDome Theater located on Pier 59. The programs include an exclusive screening of an ImaxDome film, admission to The Seattle Aquarium and post event reception with coffee and desserts.
