:AKS) lockout lockout, intentional closing up of a company, factory, or shop by an employer to prevent employees from working during a strike or labor dispute. The term lockout  of 620 Mansfield, Ohio Mansfield is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Richland CountyGR6. The municipality is located in north-central Ohio in the western foothills of the Alleghenies, approximately 80 miles (129 km) southwest of Cleveland and 66 miles  workers in the village of Indian Hill.

The Union will also hold a "Free Speech" rally on Monday, January 29, 2001, outside the Indian Hill ranger station.

Earlier this week, the Union filed suit in U.S. District Court in Cincinnati to have an Indian Hill village ordinance declared in violation of the First Amendment because it afforded certain groups the right to distribute information door-to-door but did not allow members of labor unions labor union: see union, labor.  to do the same.

On Wednesday, January 24, 2001, lawyers for the village contacted the USWA and agreed to drop all charges against the two USWA representatives who were arrested on January 11, 2001 for violating the village ordinance, while peacefully distributing handbills in the suburban Cincinnati neighborhood of AK Steel's Larry Hoyt.

The village also agreed to provide the Union with any permits required to resume handbill HANDBILL. A printed or written notice put up on walls, &c., in order to inform those concerned of something to be done.  distribution in Indian Hill, as well as pay the Union's attorneys' fees.

"We are happy that we could work out our differences with the village of Indian Hill," said USWA District One Director David McCall, "and we will continue to speak out against AK Steel's unfair lockout and history of environmental problems."
