WHAT:     Brilliant chefs from 18 of Southern California's most
          prestigious restaurants will demonstrate their culinary
          skills at the first annual March of Dimes Star Chefs of
          Orange County gala fundraiser. The gourmet food and wine
          gala starts with a reception and silent auction and is
          followed by food and wine tasting. The evening ends with a
          live auction that features unique travel and entertainment
          opportunities as well as fine dining packages.

WHY:      The goal of the Star Chefs gourmet gala is to raise $180,000
          for the March of Dimes programs to improve the health of
          Orange County's babies. Thousands of babies are born
          prematurely or with birth defects in Southern California.
          They face many problems that  jeopardize their lives, but
          the March of Dimes is there to help them survive. Star Chefs
          of Orange County is a major source of revenue for lifesaving
          research, community programs, education, and advocacy for
          women and infants.
