With Breast Cancer Awareness Month approaching quickly, Sprint PCS (1) (Personal Communications Services) Refers to wireless services that emerged after the U.S. government auctioned commercial licenses in 1994 and 1995. This radio spectrum in the 1.  will be on hand at the 7th Annual Harvest Moon harvest moon, full moon occurring nearest to the autumnal equinox, about Sept. 23. During harvest moon the retardation (later rising each night) of the moon is at a minimum because of the relation of the moon's path to the horizon.  Classic offering a free phone call to anywhere in the country, to participants and spectators at the 10K run and 5K walk through downtown Washington, D.C.

 Breast Care Center's mobile mammography mammography, diagnostic procedure that uses low-dose X rays to detect abnormalities in the breasts. The early diagnosis of breast cancer made possible by the routine use of mammography for screening women increases a woman's treatment alternatives and improves her   program," said Brian McIntee, area vice president for Sprint PCS.

The 7th Annual Harvest Moon Classic, held on Sunday, September 27, 1998, begins at 8 a.m. at the George Washington University George Washington University, at Washington, D.C.; coeducational; chartered 1821 as Columbian College (one of the first nonsectarian colleges), opened 1822, became a university in 1873, renamed 1904.  Smith Center for Athletics, 600 22nd Street, NW. Participants can register as late as the morning of the event beginning at 6:45 a.m., and will compete for numerous awards, including the chance to win a roundtrip airline ticket. The race, organized by the George Washington University Breast Care Center, is to benefit breast cancer research and education and the GW Mammovan, which provides mobile screening mammography to working and underserved women throughout Greater Washington.

Sprint PCS' involvement in this local event compliments the company's multi-million dollar partnership with Samsung Telecommunications America on "Speak Out," a national program benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation and dedicated to promoting breast cancer awareness.

In addition, Sprint PCS and Samsung will provide phones and Sprint PCS all-digital wireless service for a national community outreach program that partners breast cancer survivors Cancer survivors are those individuals with cancer of any type, current or past, who are still living. The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS) pioneered the definition of survivor as from the time of diagnosis and for the balance of life, a person diagnosed with  with underprivileged women who were recently diagnosed with the disease.

Susan Braun, president and chief executive officer of the Komen Foundation, noted that, "The program sponsored by Samsung and Sprint PCS will call people to action with a message that could save their lives."

Sprint PCS' McIntee agrees. "It's critical that we get the word out about this vital health issue. With this program, we want to communicate the importance of early detection, aid support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services   for those affected by breast cancer and fund cutting-edge research to fight breast cancer."
