WHAT: As people everywhere are searching for ways to integrate
spirituality into their daily lives during these trying
times, spirituality.com begins its three-week online
conference, "Spirituality @ Work." The program will include
online keynotes from such figures as Dr. George Gallup, Jr.
and Chicken Soup for the Soul at Work co-author Maida
Rogerson. The conference will cover such issues as
Workplace Issues, Ethics, Unemployment and Balance/Purpose.
Online chat rooms, panel Q&A discussions, interviews and
articles with those practicing spirituality at work will
also be included in the conference program.
WHY: Bringing value to our daily lives has significantly grown
in importance over the past two years. People are striving
to bring a deeper meaning to their daily activities -
including their work - and spirituality and prayer are
playing a leading role in this process.
A recent spirituality.com study(a) found that:
-- 52% of adults say they have a personal spiritual
practice that they use on a daily basis.
-- Of those, 95% believe this spiritual practice helps
them face and deal with challenges in their work.
-- 61% of adults believe that workplaces in general would
