ADVISORY/Society for Technical Communication Southwestern Ohio Chapter Announces First Meeting for 2000-2001.Business Editors ADVISORY...for Sept. 20 (Wednesday Wednesday: see week. ) --(BUSINESS WIRE) The Southwestern Ohio Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication announces its first meeting for 2000-2001. Scheduled for Wednesday, September September: see month. 20, at 6:00 p.m., the meeting will include a free walking tour of the Dayton Daily News The Dayton Daily News (DDN) is a daily newspaper published in Dayton, Ohio. It is owned by Cox Enterprises. On August 15, 1898, James M. Cox purchased the Dayton Evening News. Print Technology Center. The tour presents many state-of-the-art technologies used in newspaper printing, including a 50-foot-tall robot that moves 3,000-pound rolls of newsprint newsprint low grade paper used for newspapers. Old newspapers are fed to cattle as an alternative roughage and may occasionally be ingested by dogs. Significant amounts of lead are accumulated in tissues; no cases of poisoning have been recorded in cattle, though it has been , and presses that can print 270,000 newspapers per hour.
