In the days of character-based interfaces, a preview was absolutely necessary to see how different fonts would look or how tour and interviews at 9 a.m. The Block at Orange, the largest entertainment/retail center in Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region, , opens to public at 10 a.m.

What or Why: Southern California will experience a new
way to play, shop and eat on Nov. 19 at 10
a.m., when The Block at Orange, the
Southland's largest entertainment center
opens. With more than 70 percent of The
Block's square footage dedicated to
entertainment and restaurants and 30
percent to retail, The Block is reminiscent
of the world's great city blocks like Times
Square, Pier 39 and Melrose Avenue. From
91-foot internally lit icons to huge
billboards overlooking walkways, to a mega
skate park and electric nightclubs, this
is Main Street, California style.

At the City Drive in Orange, Calif., where
the 5, 22 and 57 freeways meet. Site of the
former The City Shopping Center. Media
check-in is between AMC 30 (movie theatre)
and GameWorks(TM). Enter The Block at
T.G.I.Friday's and follow the parking
signs.
Credentials: Members of the media need credentials to
access special parking, seating, and
non-public areas of the mall. Credentials
will be mailed before Nov. 17. Deadline
