WHY: A special City Council meeting has been called on
Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at 1 p.m. to vote on
whether a contract between the City of Houston and
SimDesk Technologies (formerly Internet Access
Technologies) should be removed. Should city council
vote to cancel this contract, SimHouston would no
longer be available to Houston residents and SimDesk
would have to disconnect 62,500 users from their
accounts and discard over 250,000 stored documents.
What is SimHouston?

available over the Internet to ALL Houston
residents.
