will provide patients access to investigational therapies
and offer doctors the opportunity to participate in
important medical research involving new drugs and
therapies. PacifiCare provided a grant to Protocare to
assist in the development of the research center, which
will serve approximately 85,000 Sharp Mission Park
patients, of which approximately 24,000 are PacifiCare
commercial HMO and Secure Horizons Medicare+Choice HMO
members in Greater San Diego.
