         WHO: Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) will
            be the keynote speaker at the annual meeting luncheon of
            the Emergency Committee for American Trade (ECAT) on
            Thursday, April 11.

              Senator Baucus will discuss Trade Promotion Authority,
            Trade Adjustment Assistance, and Andean Trade Promotion
            legislation.

        WHAT: ECAT is an organization of the heads of leading U.S.
            businesses representing all major sectors of the American
            economy. The member companies have annual worldwide sales
            totaling over $1.5 trillion and employ approximately four
            million persons.

        WHEN: ECAT Annual Meeting Luncheon
            Time:  12:15 p.m.-2:00 p.m.
            Place: Rotunda Ballroom, Ronald Reagan Building and
                   International Trade Center, Washington D.C.
