The New York Society of Security Analysts will hold a conference dedicated to the Security Industry on March 6, 2002. This event is well timed.

The terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11 have focused the nation on the need to heighten security throughout the country. Greater resources are now being directed to security at airports, bridges, nuclear reactors, and natural gas pipelines. Sky marshals are assigned to an increasing number of air flights, skyscrapers are better protected, and mailrooms are taking preventative measures. The companies that provide these services are positioned to prosper. Specific niches of opportunity can be found in the airport screening, biometrics, radiation detection, and corrections industry markets.
