WHO:     National Urban League President and CEO Marc H. Morial

WHAT:    Announces the honorees for the National Urban League 47th
         Annual Equal Opportunity Day Awards (EOD) Dinner:

        --  Reverend Floyd Flake, president, Wilberforce University
            and senior pastor, Allen African Methodist Episcopal
            Church in Jamaica, Queens;

        --  Alonzo Mourning, center for the New Jersey Nets;

        --  Emmitt Smith, running back for the Arizona Cardinals,

        --  and UPS, the world's largest package delivery service.

        --  S. Epatha Merkerson, of NBC-TV's Law & Order, will serve
            as emcee.

         The National Urban League presents its EOD Awards to the
         individuals, organizations and corporations who have made
         outstanding contributions towards creating equal
         opportunities in urban communities. This year, Enterprise
         Rent-A-Car Chairman and CEO Andrew C. Taylor is the Dinner
         Chairman, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car, UPS and Citigroup are
         Presenting Sponsors.

         To further recognize donors that have contributed $5 million
         or more to support National Urban League initiatives, this
         year the Urban League is also introducing its Five Million
         Dollar Hall of Fame. The inaugural National Urban League Five
         Million Hall of Fame Class of 2003 is: The Altria Group, Bank
         of America, IBM, State Farm Insurance Companies, and UPS.

         Each year during the EOD Awards Dinner the Urban League also
         holds inductions for its Million Dollar Hall of Fame, which
         this year includes Matsushita Electric Corporation of
         America.

WHEN:    Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003 VIP reception begins at 6:30 p.m.;
         dinner begins at 7:30 p.m. Dress for the occasion is black
