Former Dean of Santa Clara University School of Law, Uelmen has served as president of California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, California Academy of Appellate Lawyers The California Academy of Appellate Lawyers is a statewide organization of experienced appellate practitioners. It was launched in 1972 by Ellis J. Horvitz and then-Presiding Justice Otto Kaus of the Second Appellate District, and was originally known as the Appellate Lawyers , and Santa Clara County Bar Association Law Foundation. He served as dean at Santa Clara from 1986 to 1994. In 1994-95, he served on the defense team for the trial of People v. O.J. Simpson.

Edward Steinman

Steinman teaches constitutional law at Santa Clara University's School of Law and has argued numerous times before the U.S. Supreme Court.
