WHO:  One of the most popular bands in recent history, the Smashing
      Pumpkins will sign autographs at Sam Goody's City Center store.

WHAT: The Smashing Pumpkins were among the first wave of the
      alternative music groups that dominated the early `90s and they
      built on that base to become one of the most successful bands of
      the decade. Their albums, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
      and Siamese Dream, sold 4.2 million copies each and they have
      received rave reviews from critics everywhere.

      Their new album, MACHINA/the machines of God, was released
      February 29th, and is poised to elevate the Pumpkins to greater
      heights for the new decade. The band has started the "Resume the
      Pose" tour and is landing in Minneapolis to sign autographs for
      their fans.

      This appearance is an autograph session only - the band will not
      be performing. Due to the band's immense popularity, wristbands
      will be passed out in the morning to help control the crowds.
