WHO: Roger Cressey, former Chief of Staff to the president's Critical
Infrastructure Protection Board at the White House. Currently, he
is an NBC-TV counterterrorism analyst and president of Good
Harbor, an advisory service firm that counsels clients on homeland
security, critical infrastructure protection, cyber security and
counterterrorism.
WHAT: Cressey will be a featured keynote presenter at the Strictly
Business Technology Solutions Expo. He will educate participants
on emerging cyber security standards and their potential impact on
business.

Cyber security standards are already emerging in health care,
banking, insurance, finance, electric power, and
telecommunication, yet companies are frequently unable to buy
secure software from vendors. Cressey's presentation will address
such issues as: Do security standards help security and, if so,
who should develop them? What is the appropriate burden sharing
among the enterprise and the vendors they rely upon?
Cressey managed the U.S. government's response to the Millennium
terror alert, the USS COLE attack, and the September 11 attacks.
He also served overseas with the U.S. Embassy in Israel and with
United Nations peacekeeping missions in Somalia and the former
Yugoslavia.
