    WHAT:  The 19th Annual Jimmy Stewart Relay Marathon

    WHEN:  April 9

           Media Check-in -- 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
           Relay Marathon Start -- 8 a.m.
           Celebrity Race Starts -- 10:30 a.m.

           All media credentials will be available at the media tent
           adjacent to the VIP/Celebrity compound on Sunday, April 9.
           Please call to obtain media parking passes and event maps.

    WHERE: Griffith Park

    WHO:   Marathon host Robert Wagner and co-host Tom Selleck, more
           than 5,000 runners, nearly 15,000 spectators, and many
           other Hollywood celebrities including Elisa Donovan
           ("Clueless"); Roma Maffia ("Profiler"); Andy Lauer
           ("Caroline in the City"); and Darryl Theirse ("Jesse").

    DETAILS:  The Marathon is composed of numerous divisions,
              according to age, gender and corporate/industry
              affiliation. Race teams are composed of five people,
              with each individual running 5.2 miles before passing
              the baton. There are also special categories for the
              very young -- like the Diaper Dash and the Children's
              Race and a special celebrity race.

    WHY:   For more than three decades (since 1962) the Center has
           been committed to meeting the emotional, educational and
           developmental needs of children, adolescents and their
           families. The Center's primary services focus on the
           treatment of children exposed to child abuse, depression,
           physical and emotional disabilities and pre-natal exposure
           to drugs and alcohol.
