        "Mona Lisa Smile" opens nationwide on December 19, 2003


WHAT:   "Mona Lisa Smile" trailer to be released nationally via
        satellite newsfeed on Friday, June 27th, 2003.

        In "Mona Lisa Smile," Mike Newell ("Four Weddings and a
        Funeral") directs an all-star cast headed by Academy
        Award(R)-winner Julia Roberts and co-starring Kirsten Dunst,
        Julia Stiles, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Marcia Gay Harden.

        1953. Women's roles were defined and reinforced: Stay at home,
        raise the family, and stand by your man. So it followed for a
        group of seniors at Wellesley College, where success was not
        measured by degree but rather by how well they married, and
        the ultimate grade would be the one their future husbands
        would give them. Their lives were unfolding by design until
        young art history professor Katherine Watson (Roberts), a
        boheme from the West, questioned not only that design but
        also the architects behind it. "Mona Lisa Smile" is the story
        of a teacher who challenges her students to look beyond the
        image of what is, and consider the possibilities of what could
        be.

        Deborah Schindler, and Paul Schiff and executive produced by
        Joe Roth from a screenplay by Lawrence Konner & Mark
