--(BUSINESS WIRE)

WHAT: Wearing a colorful Lloyd's Barbeque T-Shirt, Basilica of St.
Mary Rector Michael O'Connell will open this year's Cities 97
Basilica Block Party Friday, July 6, by serving Lloyd's
barbeque sandwiches. Rev. O'Connell is founder of the popular
annual Block Party that raises funds for continuing
restoration of the Basilica, a downtown Minneapolis landmark.

Locally based Lloyd's Barbeque is a first-time Basilica Block
Party sponsor. Lloyd's employee-volunteers and Basilica
volunteers will serve hot and hearty sandwiches (honey hickory
flavored chicken and BBQ sliced beef) during the two-day
event, donating all proceeds from the sale of the $3
        sandwiches to Basilica restoration.

In addition to the special Block Party opening appearance by
Rev. O'Connell at the Lloyd's BBQ booth, the Lloyd's
interactive booth will feature its distinctive pink Pig
Mascot and the Lloyd's speed game, where contestants can
win prizes by throwing balls at high velocity against a
        target backdrop.

WHEN: Rev. O'Connell will "pass the plate" in the Lloyd's BBQ
          booth between 5:30-6:30 p.m., Friday, July 6.

Lloyd's will collect donations for the Basilica by selling
sandwiches throughout the entire Block Party, 5-10:30 p.m.,
Friday, July 6 and Saturday, July 7.

WHERE: Lloyd's will be present at two Block Party booths, one
serving BBQ exclusively, and the other featuring the Pig
Mascot and Lloyd's speed game. The BBQ Booth is located on
16th and Laurel Ave. (northeast corner of Basilica,
approximately one-half-block north of the Mascot/Game Booth
and adjacent to the MCTC parking ramp). The Lloyd's
Interactive Booth is located at 16th and Hennepin Ave. (east
side of Basilica, five booths from the main gate entrance and
adjacent to the MCTC parking ramp). A map of booth locations
        is available.
