WHAT:   The construction of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival Ice Palace
        will be interrupted by the sound of drums and the aroma of
        steaming hot soup.  Doc Severinsen, Grammy winning musician
        and conductor, will lead local members of the Progresso Drum
        and Kettle Corp. -- donning white chef hats -- to the first
        public performance of the Soup Samba.

        The catchy new tune will honor the Ice Palace volunteers'
        dedication in constructing the Palace during Minnesota's cold
        winter temperatures.  Following the drum performance,
        volunteers will be given a soup break featuring Progresso's
        new Rich & Hearty soup.

        Progresso's Soup Samba is an original composition created to
        celebrate National Soup Month and new Progresso Rich & Hearty
        soups.
