), an agency of the Department of Defense, selected the Company to provide high-resolution 360-degree imaging capability for submarine periscopes periscope (pĕr`ĭskōp) [Gr.,=view around], instrument to enable a person to see objects not in his direct line of vision or concealed by some intervening body. Its essential parts are a tube, prisms, lenses, mirrors, and an eyepiece.. Under terms of the 16-month contract, RemoteReality will work with engineers at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, R.I., to jointly develop an omni-directional imaging system that will provide submarines with 360-degree day and night vision capabilities.
