WHAT: A Traffic Safety Forum co-sponsored by AAA, the Citizens for
    Traffic Safety of Greater Dallas, Parkland Health & Hospital
    System Trauma Department and the Injury Prevention Center of
    Greater Dallas will address several safety topics, including the
    increased incidence of vehicle crashes among teen-age drivers.

WHO: Steven Bloch, Ph.D., a AAA traffic safety researcher, and Mary
    McCoy of the Injury Prevention Center of Greater Dallas will speak
    at the forum about the dangers of teen crashes. Bloch will present
    statistical data on how graduated driver licensing has helped save
    teen lives in other states and how it will benefit Texas.
    Graduated driver licensing was approved by the Texas Legislature
    last year and is a system designed to introduce teens gradually
    into the driving environment.

WHEN: Tuesday, March 18, 8 a.m. to noon (McCoy and Bloch will speak at
    10 a.m.)

WHERE: American Red Cross, 4800 Harry Hines Blvd., Dallas
