The 2002 UEFA Super Cup match between Real Madrid and
Feyenoord will be televised live from Monaco on Fox Sports
World on Friday, August 30, at 11:45 AM (PT)/2:45 PM (ET). The
event marks the first ever match up between the Spanish club,
making its third Super Cup appearance, and the Dutch team,
playing in the game for the first time. Neither team has ever
        won the traditional European title.

Real Madrid will rely heavily on Spanish and international
stars such as Raul Gonzalez, Fernando Morientes, Zinedine
Zidane (France) and Roberto Carlos (Brazil). Feyenoord, the
2002 UEFA Cup Champion, features Japan's Shinji Ono, who, a
year into his stint in Europe, has become the first Japanese
player to win a UEFA club competition.

The UEFA Super Cup has evolved over the years to become the
event that heralds the start of a new season of European club
competition. The UEFA Super Cup also coincides with the draws
for the 2002/2003 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup
        competitions.
