Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and

                performance improvement, clinical data sharing,
quality measurement, the application of information

What: "The Value of Community-Wide Interoperability for
                Clinical Data Sharing"

Having worked with clients on their clinical data
exchange needs for many years, Dr. Paulus will
outline, through real world examples, including the
Santa Barbara Community Care Data Exchange(R) project,
the steps regional communities can take to start to
overcome the political, technical and funding hurdles
needed to deliver on this important promise.

Dr. Paulus' presentation will precede a presentation
by Mike Skinner, executive director of the Santa
Barbara County Care Data Exchange project, who will
offer a community perspective and more detailed
insight into the development of interoperability
standards that support RHIOs like the Santa Barbara
                County Care Data Exchange.
