WHO:   Port of Los Angeles International Trade Academy (ITA),
       International Trade Education Programs (ITEP). Port of Los
       Angeles Executive Director Larry Keller will emcee the program.

WHAT:  Students will receive scholarships and share their personal
       experiences with the ITA program. Banning High School alumnus
       Dennis C. Lord, public affairs manager for The Gas Company's
       Pacific Region, will be inducted into the Academy during the
       evening's festivities.

WHEN:  Thursday, May 8, 2003 at 6 p.m. (Dinner at 7 p.m.)

WHERE: Banning High School, 1527 Lakme Avenue, Wilmington, Calif.

WHY:   Nearly 200 Banning High School students are involved in the
       Port of Los Angeles ITA. All classes and programs are designed
       to introduce students to the many careers in international
       trade.

NOTE:  A limited number of tickets will be provided to the media for
       publicity coverage. Interviews with ITA teachers, students and
       parents will be available before and after the dinner. Please
