WHO: Pink's Famous Hot Dog Stand -- Also knows as home of
the "Chili Dog to the Stars" since so many movie stars
take their Limos to Pink's for Dogs and dine along with
the rest of L.A.
Pink's started in business in 1939 at the same location
and although it has prospered, it decided to maintain
its unique character and has never expanded.
WHAT: Some of the charities to receive donations will be
California Highway Patrol's "CHIPS for Kids," UCLA's
UniCamp for Underprivileged Children, and the John
Tracy Clinic for the Hearing-Impaired.
WHEN: November 5 through 9 between the hours of 5 and 5:59.
If you can't make it to the special promotion, Pink's
is open from 9 until 2 a.m., ever day.
WHERE: 709 North La Brea, near the corner of La Brea and
Melrose in Hollywood.
WHY: Pink's is expressing its appreciation to Los Angeles
for its support of this family business since it
started as a hot dog cart at the same location 59 years
ago.
