The burial ground, which is one quarter of an acre, is
believed to contain the remains of as many as 10,000 African
slaves. The burial ground, discovered a decade ago, is
recognized as one of the nation's most significant
archaeological finds of the last century. Ghana was a key port
in the notorious slave trade triangle.
